Workshops

I’ve been wanting to offer photography workshops for a long, long time, but was never able to figure how to find the time to do so. A very busy work schedule wouldn’t allow me to think more seriously about it, and I also didn’t want to “follow the beaten path” and  create just another “me-too” program to pass along my experience. Time is still at a premium, but I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, so to say, and I can finally dedicate myself to develop some very interesting and different workshops, the first one already announced for September of 2015. What I want is to offer unique concepts in photography training, with a wide scope of interests. The workshops will be orientated to all kinds of photography enthusiasts, ranging from beginners to seasoned amateurs and pros alike.

Knowing there are many options for learning more about photography wherever you look to, my approach to the workshops is to make the teaching practical and hands-on, with the theory being limited to the foundations of photography only. Advanced techniques and discussion about lighting, composition and general creativity will be addressed on field, cameras in hand, while digital post-processing, using Adobe Photoshop© and Lightroom© as the main  software suite, will be taught during wrap-up sessions at the end of each day.

As a professional photographer with over 25 years of experience in editorial and lifestyle commercial photography, my goal is to make your learning time with me an enriching, life changing experience (OK, photography-changing at the least…), and give you the knowledge and confidence to produce professional-caliber images yourself. The first scheduled workshop showcases my desire of offering truly one-of-a-kind workshops: it’s called PhotoMoto, and it was designed to be a fascinating combination of a 2-week photography class with a bucket-list motorcycle tour around South Africa and Swaziland, in late September of 2015. Now that’s something truly unique, and I couldn’t feel more excited about it!

By clicking on the workshops listed below, you will find detailed information on each one of them.
