Inuvik, Canada

Checking off an essential item on my bucket list, back in the summer of 2014: a photo taken at around 11 pm, just as I was arriving in Inuvik, then the end of the famous Dempster Highway crossing Yukon and the Northwest Territories in Canada. It took me 15 hours to get there, out of Dawson City, and it was truly one of the most memorable rides of my life.

I’ve been longing to get back there someday, and now I have a perfectly good excuse to do it when there’s an opportunity. Inuvik is no longer the end of the Dempster for three years now, as there is a new segment of dirt road covering the around 100 miles between the town and Tuktoyaktuk. It will happen; it’s just a matter of time.
